2022 Toyota Hybrid Lineup | High River, AB

The Toyota hybrid lineup is expansive, from stylish sedans and adventurous SUVs to a powerful hybrid truck. Here are some hybrid Toyota models to consider if you’re in the market for a new, efficient ride.

Toyota Venza

Making its triumphant return to the Toyota lineup is the Venza. This SUV is now available solely as a hybrid and has a supremely sophisticated design. You’ll experience smooth performance combined with outstanding efficiency thanks to the 2022 Venza’s advanced hybrid-electric powertrain. In fact, you can expect to get as low as 5.9 L/100 km in the city and 6.4 L/100 km on the highway.[1]

Beyond its efficient powertrain, the new Venza has a refined style with an interior to match. The premium cabin features amenities like ambient lighting to welcome you, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, and dual-zone climate control. Available upscale features include a Driver Seat Memory System and the Star Gaze™ fixed panoramic glass roof with frost control that gives the cabin an airy feel.

Connected Services by Toyota offer an extensive list of technologies to make everyday life simpler. Use your favourite compatible smartphone apps on the 8-inch touch screen via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. For the ultimate music experience, select the 2022 Venza XLE or Limited models for the JBL® audio system.

Toyota HighlanderHybrid

Another efficient SUV from Toyota is the 2022 Highlander Hybrid. Offering a bit more space than the Venza, the new Highlander Hybrid has flexible seating for seven or eight people. Second-row captain’s chairs give the cabin an upscale feel while allowing for easy access to the third row. In the front, the standard power-adjustable and heated driver’s seat makes for a comfortable drive, even during the toughest winters in Alberta.

As far as fuel economy is concerned, the 2022 Highlander Hybrid gets as low as 6.6 L/100 km in the city and 6.8 L/100 km on the highway on select models.[1] This is thanks to the SUV’s smart 2.5-litre engine with Hybrid Synergy Drive.

One of the most appealing features of the new Highlander Hybrid is the inclusion of Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+™ for all models. This is the first Toyota in Canada to include the latest evolution of the brand’s intelligent safety technologies. You’ll have helpful features on-hand, like Left Turn Intersection Support, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection & Bicycle Detection, among many others.

Toyota Tundra Hybrid

The newest addition to the Toyota hybrid lineup is the all-new 2022 Tundra Hybrid. This efficient and powerful truck uses a robust 3.5-litre twin turbo V6 hybrid engine to produce an impressive 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. In total, you’ll be able to tow up to 5,067 kg and you can expect to get fuel economy numbers at 12.7/10.5 L/100 km City/Highway.[1]

The new Tundra Hybrid is also quite stylish and is available in some unique exterior colours like Army Green, Lunar Rock, and Smoked Mesquite. The bold front grille is flanked by LED daytime running lamps and LED fog lamps. As you move to the side, you can choose 20-inch alloy or 22-inch aluminum-alloy wheels to help your Tundra Hybrid stand out even more.

All 2022 Tundra Hybrid models come with an expansive 14-inch touch-screen display, where you can connect your smartphone via wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Toyota Assistant and Bluetooth® will also come in handy when you’re on the job or on the go. And to keep you safe on every journey, Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 includes useful systems like Left Turn Oncoming Vehicle Detection/Braking, Sway Warning, and much more.

Toyota Prius

Before most automakers were even considering hybrid vehicles, Toyota introduced the Prius. The 2022 Toyota Prius builds on the legacy of the iconic hybrid car with a variety of appealing features. With its 1.8-litre hybrid engine, the 2022 Prius can get 4.4/4.6 L/100 km City/Highway on FWD models and still an impressive 4.5/4.9 L/100 km City/Highway on models with AWD-e.[1] The Prius also offers three drive modes — EV, ECO, and Power — to accommodate all kinds of driving.

Over the years, the Prius has maintained its signature style, with aerodynamic lines and a liftback for easy cargo access. You can paint your new Prius in one of seven appealing colours, including the iconic Supersonic Red as well as the two-tone Wind Chill (white) with a Celestial Black roof.

Along with its style, the 2022 Prius is equipped with a wealth of advanced technologies. Infotainment offerings include smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. The Technology AWD-e with Advanced Package adds embedded navigation and a large 11.6-inch touch screen.

You’ll also find many smart safety systems like Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 with a pre-collision system and Lane Tracing Assist, among many other available features.

Toyota Corolla Hybrid

Another long-standing model in the Toyota lineup is the Corolla. The 2022 Toyota Corolla Hybrid takes the signature style of the gas-powered model and adds an efficient powertrain to help you save on gas. The Corolla Hybrid’s 2.0-litre Dynamic Force Engine blends power and fuel economy to offer up to 169 horsepower and as low as 6.0 L/100 km on the highway, depending on the model you choose.[1]

Available features from Connected Services by Toyota let you control various aspects of the 2022 Corolla Hybrid. Certain models are equipped with the ability to remotely start the engine, lock or unlock the doors, and much more. The new Corolla Hybrid also comes with TSS 2.0, with the option of adding the available Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert as well as Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control for added convenience.

Toyota Camry Hybrid

If you want something a little bigger than the Prius and Corolla, consider the 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid. This sedan offers generous amounts of head- and legroom while easing the tension on your wallet with its hybrid powertrain. As expected with a larger vehicle, you also get a larger, more powerful engine under the hood. The Camry Hybrid’s 3.5-litre V6 DOHC engine delivers 203 horsepower and 6.1 L/100 km on the highway.[1] For a bit more control, all models except the LE come with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.

Because the 2022 Camry Hybrid has a higher starting price, you get a more refined interior than other smaller vehicles. The driver-focused cabin can be filled with premium amenities like a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel; heated and ventilated front seats; dual-zone automatic climate control; leather-trimmed seats; and a power-adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar support. You’ll also have the option to select the nine-speaker JBL® audio system and a 9-inch touch screen on XSE models for all of your infotainment needs.

Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

The adventurous RAV4 is available with a variety of powertrains. One of the most popular options is the 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. This efficient SUV houses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine under its hood that can get 203 horsepower and 6.8 L/100 km on the highway.[1] When it’s time to head off-road, the AWD RAV4 Hybrid models come with a Multi-Terrain Select system to adjust power as needed.

On the outside, the 2022 RAV4 Hybrid is ultra-stylish. It comes in a multitude of paint options like Blueprint and Ruby Flare Pearl, but you can also opt for one of many two-tone exteriors that give the SUV a black or white roof. The interior is just as appealing and incredibly versatile. Standard heated front seats provide comfort on the coldest days while the rear 60/40 foldable seats allow you to adjust the cabin to haul all sorts of cargo. When it comes to tech, the RAV4 Hybrid offers five USB ports, smartphone connectivity, available premium audio systems, and Toyota Safety Sense 2.0.

Toyota Sienna

The world of minivans is highly competitive, as each automaker attempts to distinguish itself among other family vehicles. The 2022 Toyota Sienna is now exclusively a hybrid vehicle, with a 2.5-litre engine that helps you save money at the pump. Across the FWD lineup, you can expect to achieve 6.5 L/100 km on the highway and 6.6 L/100 km on the highway with AWD models.[1]

Along with FWD or AWD, you can also choose how many seats your 2022 Sienna has in it. The base LE model has room for eight, the mid-grade XLE offers seven or eight, while the top XSE has enough room for up to seven passengers. The new Sienna is also quite convenient, making carting the kids to and from school or soccer practice even easier. The available kick sensor sliding door and power rear door are great when you have your hands full. Meanwhile, the intuitive tech like tri-zone independent automatic climate control and Connected Services by Toyota keep everyone comfortable and entertained.
