Stronger performance

Power determines how much weight you can tow and carry. While both the Tundra and Silverado 1500 offer solid performance numbers, when it comes to standard power, the Tundra achieves more. Its standard 5.7-liter V8 engine puts out 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque. The Silverado’s standard 4.3-litre EcoTec3 V6 engine only puts out 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. This means if you purchase the Tundra, you can get more power for a similar price tag.

The Tundra also comes with the largest fuel tank in its class, offering you the chance to fill up your truck with 144 litres of gasoline. The Silverado’s tank can only fit up to 106 litres.

It also comes with fold-up rear seats in the Tundra Double Cab and CrewMax body styles, allowing you to load up even more cargo in your truck’s interior. While the Silverado 1500 also offers fold-up rear seats, they’re not as widely available as they are on the Tundra.

While both the Tundra and the Silverado 1500 come available with a range of features, the Tundra offers more of them as standard, so you don’t have to pay extra for some of the Tundra’s best functions.
