The standard engine powering the 2019 Toyota Tacoma is a 2.7-litre four-cylinder that generates 159 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The Tacoma can also be powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine with either a six-speed automatic or manual transmission. This engine generates 278 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque and enables towing up to 2,950 kg (or 6,500 pounds).
